NIPPERS PROGRAM
At Robe SLSC, our Nipper Development Program is especially designed for children aged 5-13 to develop Surf Life Saving skills, through essential water safety skills and surf education. Robe SLSC aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment where Nippers can learn, grow their confidence, establish friendships and have fun!
Each week our Nippers are challenged with a range of activities such as beach sprints, flags, boards, wading, body surfing, relays, swimming and water safety.
The main objectives of our Nippers program is to:
Develop surf life-saving skills through water safety and surf education.
Increase children’s confidence in the water and on the beach
Educate and encourage sun smart behaviours, making healthy choices and keeping active
Encourage friendships and have fun
Our 2025 Nippers season will run from 5th January – 9th February. Nippers sessions take place at Second Ramp on Long Beach, at 10am sharp and run for approximately 2 hours.
STARFISH PROGRAM
In addition to our Nippers program, we are fortunate to have our ‘Starfish’ program, which is available for our Under 5s, this program is a huge asset to our club and allows young children to become familiar with Nippers through a fun and safe environment.
Our 2024 Starfish season will run from 14th January – 11th February. Starfish sessions take place at Second Ramp on Long Beach, at 10am sharp and run for approximately 2 hours.
Robe SLSC has created a wonderful atmosphere at Long Beach on a Sunday morning and all of our volunteers work hard to ensure a welcoming, safe and fun environment for our Nippers and their families. We look forward to seeing you at Long Beach in January 2024.
