VOLUNTEERS

Our Volunteers are the backbone of our club. Get involved this season!

Like all surf lifesaving clubs around Australia, the running of our club relies solely on volunteers. If not for the wonderful volunteers we have helping our club, our Nippers program wouldn’t be possible. This season we are looking for volunteers for both our Age Manager and Water Safety roles during the six Nippers sessions. Both roles do not require any previous experience in surf lifesaving.

Age Managers:

The role of an Age Manager is to work with small groups of Nippers to help facilitate fun learning programs that encourage and develop young surf lifesavers. As we require two Age Managers per age group, we are always looking for new volunteers. Training is online through a short learning course (approx. 2 hours) and Age Managers are very well supported by Age Manager Mentors during the Nippers

season!

Nippers Water Safety Assistance:

Water Safety Assistants provide individualised water cover, under the supervision of the club’s bronze medallion holders. Assistance is provided for Nippers in the 8, 9 and 10 age groups, who may need extra support during water-based activities. Training involves approx. 2-3 hours combined theory and practical learning.

In addition to the above roles, there are many other volunteer roles within our club that are integral to the success of Robe SLSC. If you are interested or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
